My name is Namatovu Cissy, and I am a 20-year-old healthcare assistant and nursing student from Uganda, currently living in Mauritius. I am a kind, compassionate, hardworking, and responsible young woman who is passionate about caring for others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. Throughout my life, I have learned the importance of patience, respect, honesty, and resilience, values that continue to shape the person I am today.

Growing up, I developed a strong sense of responsibility at an early age. I helped care for my younger brother while my mother was at work, making sure he was safe, fed, and ready for school. As I grew older, I also cared for my young niece and nephew, supporting them with meals, playtime, bathing, bedtime routines, and other daily activities. These experiences taught me how to be patient, loving, organized, and dependable. They also helped me understand the importance of creating a safe, happy, and supportive environment where children can grow with confidence.

My passion for caring for others inspired me to study healthcare. I am currently pursuing nursing studies because I believe that caring for people is more than a profession—it is a calling. Through my studies, I have gained knowledge of health, hygiene, infection prevention, communication, teamwork, and providing quality care with dignity and respect. I enjoy learning new skills and continuously improving myself so that I can become a better caregiver and healthcare professional.

I am applying because I am looking for an opportunity to become part of a welcoming family while sharing my childcare experience, kindness, and dedication. I believe living with a host family is a wonderful opportunity to experience a new culture, improve my skills, and build lifelong relationships. I am excited to support children in their daily routines, encourage their learning and creativity, and provide a safe and caring environment where they feel loved and supported.

I consider myself a calm, trustworthy, and positive person. I enjoy helping others, solving problems, and adapting to new situations. I understand that every family is unique, and I am always willing to learn and respect different traditions, routines, and values. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with children and family, listening to music, crocheting, taking walks, and exploring nature. I also enjoy visiting the beach, where I can relax and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. I like reading, learning about different cultures, and improving my knowledge through study and personal development. These hobbies help me stay creative, patient, and positive.

My friends and family describe me as caring, respectful, honest, friendly, and hardworking. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds because I believe every person has something valuable to teach. I communicate with kindness and respect, and I always try to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever I go.

One of my greatest strengths is my determination. I have faced challenges in my life, but they have taught me resilience, perseverance, and gratitude.
