Hi! My name is Damien. I am 19 years old and I am looking for my next adventure before heading off to university.

After graduating high school, I had a strong desire to explore and challenge myself and this is what I am looking for in becoming an au pair. I am a people person; I am energised by meaningful conversations, building connections, and learning about other cultures.

I am fully bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken. I was born and raised in Mauritius, where English is the official language, while French is widely used in daily life alongside Mauritian Creole. Growing up in this environment has made switching between languages natural for me.

What I am really looking forward to is being in a big city, new place and culture and getting to explore. I’m also looking forward to joining a family and helping where I can. I grew up in a lively family with 2 other siblings and I am used to the controlled chaos that it can be knowing that it’s what makes it fun.

Although I am young, I see this as a strength rather than a limitation. Being closer in age allows me to relate easily to children and teenagers, whether through learning methods, school life, or social references.
