Dear host family,
My name is Florian, I am 17 years old and I live in a small village near Berlin in Germany. The area is very peaceful, with a lake and the Rauener Mountains, where I enjoy going for walks.
I am an only child, but I have two cousins with whom I get on well. I occasionally look after my younger cousin, who is four years old, when my aunt is at work. I also enjoy spending time with my best friend’s baby and love looking after children.
I would describe myself as a creative, empathetic and open-minded person. I like being surrounded by people and appreciate a lively atmosphere.
I am currently in Year 10 at a grammar school. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and have even written my own book. I am also passionate about cooking and baking and often try out new recipes. Every Sunday, I go for a walk and enjoy the natural surroundings.
German is my mother tongue. I also speak English very well and have a basic knowledge of French.
I would like to work as an au pair because I enjoy spending time with children and, at the same time, would like to improve my language skills and get to know new cultures.
I don’t have any specific expectations, but I would like a friendly and open-minded host family where I can feel at home and become part of family life.
