Dear Host Family,

My name is Sophia, I’m 21 years old and I come from Kenya. I speak English, Swahili, and a little bit of German. I am the last born in my family with two older siblings. Because of the big age gap between us, my brother already had his sons while I was still very young. From the very beginning, I was helping with them—changing diapers, playing, and caring for them. Growing up surrounded by my nephews gave me a natural love and strong connection with children.

Over the years, I have also babysat for my neighbors, something I truly enjoy. Being around kids makes me happy—it allows me to relive childhood memories while creating new, special ones with them. Every moment I spend with children feels joyful and memorable, whether it’s playtime, learning together, or simply sharing laughter.

In my free time, I love reading novels, watching movies, traveling, tasting new dishes, going on walks, and bike riding. With children, I enjoy doing fun and creative activities that keep them curious, active, and on their toes. I always find joy in keeping kids engaged, happy, and full of energy.
