I’m Sarah, 25 years old, and I’m here to tell you a little about myself and the reasons why I decided to become an Au Pair and live abroad.

I was born in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. We have beautiful beaches and many places close to nature!

I was raised by my mother, Angélica, and I helped her to raise my middle sister, Larah. We absolutely love animals and now we have two dogs, Cristal and Hermione, one cat, Penelope, and one cockatiel, Harry. We are huge fans of HP and Bridgerton! I also have a half-sister called Ana Victoria who is 4 years old, who is the love of our lives. Recently, my middle sister had a baby and he became our joy!

After college, i worked for two years and decide to come to the USA to be an Au Pair. Has been an incredible opportunity to grow as a human. I love my hosts kids with all my hearth and I learn with them every day. I’m planning to leave the US only in late august/early september. Im still an au pair at the US and my contract goes until them. I don’t want to break with my family early.

I am a responsible, charismatic, communicative, patient and hard-working person. I can be funny, I’m super loyal, a great listener and I like to think that I’m great with advices.

My favorite hobby is reading, but sometimes I also write some things. One of my dreams is to write a book.
I also love animals and social causes, and I volunteer at some nonprofit organizations. Since 2020, I hold the position of secretary at the nonprofit organization Aumigo de Livros, where we sold books that we received from donations and donated to the animal cause.

I got my driver’s license in 2018 and have been driving ever since. The driving in the US is not that different, so it was okay to get used to. Since then, I drove all differents kinds of cars.

I’ve always been around children, as I have sisters and cousins who are much younger than me. I’ve been taking care of children from my neighborhood since I was 15 and I got some babysitting jobs back home before work as an au pair.

Caring for the children I work with involves bathing them, taking care of their hygiene, feeding them, involving them in games to pass the time, helping them with their homework and taking them to school.

One of the reasons I decided to become an au pair is that I really love working with children. To watch them grow closely, their development and see them building their character is brilliant. I also have a lot of dreams related to my career, and I believe my time living abroad, learning new cultures and languages is going to help me on my path.

I would like to find a family who really wants to share culture and knowledge so we both can learn and grow during this amazing process. I’m a friendly and responsible person who is willing to learn from your family!
