I am allergic to fluconazole. I also have hypothyroidism and migraines, both of which have been well controlled with medication for several years.
Dear Future Host Family,
Hello from sunny Brazil! ❤️
I’m Letícia, 26, from Fortaleza, Brazil. I’m warm, responsible, affectionate, creative, and family-oriented. Becoming an au pair would be a dream: I want to discover another culture, learn a new language, and build a genuine bond with a family and their children.
Although I’ve never officially been an au pair abroad, I’ve cared for children since I was 14. My younger cousins are practically my nephews! I helped raise Gabriel, now 11, and have cared for his younger brothers and other little ones, including José Pedro, who’s just one year old.
I’m very comfortable with babies: changing diapers, preparing bottles, burping, bathing, feeding, soothing, naps, bedtime routines, and keeping their things clean and organised. I love singing lullabies, reading picture books, and encouraging safe, age-appropriate play. And yes, I’ve survived plenty of spit-up and messy meals! Haha! I’d happily help prepare fresh, age-appropriate baby food, following the parents’ instructions.
Education is another huge part of my life. I’ve worked as a private English tutor for over ten years, teaching children and teenagers. I enjoy helping with homework, reading, writing, school projects, and building confidence. One of my favourite traditions with students was “Science Wednesdays”: we’d do simple experiments and turn learning into an adventure!
I’ve studied two subjects at university: English Language and Literature (including linguistics and teaching methods) and Law. I completed roughly half of my English degree and haven’t finished either programme, but both have taught me a great deal. In 2025, I completed a university internship with five students: four children aged 4–10 and one teenager aged 14. I’m fluent in English and can request references from families I’ve taught.
At home, I enjoy cooking, baking, keeping things tidy, doing dishes and laundry, and sharing meals and conversation. I would love to prepare nutritious meals, colourful lunchboxes, homemade snacks, and Brazilian treats such as pão de queijo! I respect family routines, parenting choices, privacy, and clear boundaries.
I’m also a published author and a passionate reader. I love writing, bookstores, singing, playing the piano, languages, museums, travelling, and animals. I’m especially excited to experience different seasons, traditions, foods, and, of course, conduct very serious research into international snacks and soft drinks! Haha!
I have a driver’s licence and understand that driving abroad may require additional permissions. I’m willing to complete first aid and CPR training according to the host country’s requirements. I’m preparing financially for the move, including selling my car to cover documentation and travel expenses; any assistance with travel costs would be appreciated.
Ideally, I’d start in March or April 2027 and stay about a year, subject to visa and programme rules. I would work proactively on the paperwork and communicate openly about realistic timelines.
One day I hope to become a mother, and I take the trust involved in caring for children very seriously. I want to be someone your children feel safe with, learn from, laugh with, and remember fondly.
I’d be delighted to meet over a video call, share photos and videos of my childcare experience, and provide teaching references. Thank you for considering me. I hope we can create wonderful memories together!
Warm wishes from Brazil,
Letícia ❤️
