Dear Host Family,

My name is Joshua Faustine , and I am a 21-year-old Tanzanian, currently working at a stationery shop. I completed my Form Six studies in 2023, and I am eager to embark on a new journey as an au pair in europe. I have a strong interest in cultural exchange and caring for children, which is why I feel that becoming an au pair is the perfect opportunity for me.

I come from a family of seven, including my parents, four sisters, and myself as the youngest. Growing up in a large family has taught me the importance of patience, teamwork, and responsibility. I have always enjoyed helping out with household tasks and caring for my younger relatives, which has given me a solid foundation in caregiving.

I have one year of experience looking after my sister’s children, a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. Through this experience, I have learned a lot about child development, engaging with children of different ages, and creating a safe and enjoyable environment for them. Whether it’s playing games, reading stories, or helping with basic learning activities, I find joy in nurturing children’s growth and making sure they feel happy and secure.

I would describe myself as responsible, dedicated, and proactive. In addition to my childcare experience, I am skilled in various household tasks, including laundry, baking, and cleaning. I enjoy preparing meals, particularly breakfast, and I am always willing to take on additional responsibilities around the house. I believe these skills would allow me to support your family in many ways beyond just childcare.

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, swimming, traveling, and playing football. I am excited about the possibility of sharing these interests with your family, especially if your children are curious about sports or the world around them. I am open to learning more about your culture and language and hope to share some aspects of my Tanzanian heritage with you as well.

My goal as an au pair is to contribute positively to your family’s daily life and create lasting bonds with your children. I am ready to support them in their routines, help with schoolwork if needed, and create a warm and nurturing environment. I am also eager to adapt to the needs of your household and am committed to ensuring your peace of mind by providing responsible and reliable care.
