My name is Beverly, and I am very happy to introduce myself to you. I come from Kenya, and I am applying to become an au pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and supporting families, while also learning about a new culture and language.
I have strong and practical childcare experience. I have taken care of my younger sister since she was born, and she is now almost six years old. My responsibilities included feeding her, bathing her, helping her get dressed, playing with her, and supporting her daily routines. I have also cared for my cousin, who is now three years old, as well as other relatives’ children over the years. Through this experience, I have learned patience, responsibility, and how to understand children’s needs at different ages.
I am a calm, caring, and reliable person. I enjoy creating a safe and positive environment for children, whether that means playing games, reading stories, helping with daily routines, or simply being attentive and supportive. I understand the importance of structure, trust, and good communication within a family, and I always respect household rules.
I also have professional experience as a sales assistant in a fashion retail store. This role helped me develop strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to stay calm and friendly in busy situations. I interacted with many different people every day, including international customers, which helped me become confident, patient, and responsible. These qualities are also very important when caring for children.
I am interested in becoming an au pair in Germany because I would like to improve my German language skills and learn more about German culture and family life. I currently have basic to sufficient German knowledge and I am motivated to continue learning every day. I see the au pair program as a cultural exchange, and I would be very happy to become part of a host family and share daily life together.
In my free time, I enjoy simple activities such as reading, listening to music, going for walks, and spending time with children. I am comfortable with common household pets such as dogs and cats. I am not experienced with reptiles, but I am open and adaptable in most family environments.
I am responsible, open-minded, and respectful, and I understand the trust that comes with caring for children. If you choose me as your au pair, I will do my best to support your family, respect your home, and contribute positively to your daily life.
