Hi, I’m Antonella, and I live with my daughter, Gea, in the beautiful town of Orvieto, just outside the town center. I am a yoga teacher and I sing in a choir. Gea is a cheerful and creative child; she plays the clarinet, practices aerial dance, and is a scout. She loves art in all its forms and dreams of becoming an artist when she grows up.

I have plenty of experience with au pairs from when my older child was younger; the girls who stayed with us always became part of the family. I’m looking for an au pair to help support us—taking Gea to school and her various activities, and staying with her three evenings a week when I’m teaching or attending choir rehearsals. I would love for you to speak English with her to help her learn the language. Our home is small and it’s just the two of us, so there isn’t much in the way of cleaning or household chores.

As a single mom, our home life is very calm. I have an older child who lives in Rome and visits occasionally. We also have four wonderful cats—and, well, if you don’t like cats, you might have a bit of a problem here, as they are treated like little princes! We have a large garden where we set up a swimming pool in the summer. In the winter, we light the fireplace to keep cozy—there’s nothing quite like watching the fire in the evening. Ours is a very musical family; there’s music of all different genres playing almost all the time.
